The Clock

A handsome brass carriage clock retailed by the celebrated London jeweller and silversmith Garrard & Co. Ltd. of 112 Regent Street. The white enamel-style dial carries black Roman numerals and blued spade hands, signed with the Garrard retailer's name beneath the chapter ring.

The case is fitted with bevelled glass to all sides, fluted brass corner columns and a shaped carrying handle, with the top glass offering a clear view of the platform escapement in motion. Based on its styling and construction, the clock is indicative of mid-to-late 20th century manufacture.
