Percy is a wonderfully period Enfield with a rich chocolate-brown Bakelite case, bright chrome bezel and just the right amount of age showing on his dial. He’s been fully stripped, cleaned and serviced, so beneath the vintage exterior his twin-train movement is back to running properly and sounding the hours on its traditional gong.
The wonderfully period dial features elegant Art Deco-style Arabic numerals, blued steel hands and the Enfield name beneath 12 o'clock. The warm cream colouring and gentle age-related marks give it plenty of authentic vintage character.
Movement and operation
Inside is Enfield's traditional twin-train mechanical movement, striking the hours and half-hours on a coiled gong. The movement has been fully dismantled, ultrasonically cleaned, carefully inspected, lubricated with Novostar oil on the mainsprings and synthetic clock oil on the pivots, and correctly reassembled. It is running and striking as intended.

Condition
Presented in very good restored vintage condition. The Bakelite retains a rich, glossy finish with light surface marks consistent with age. There is a small historic chip to the underside edge of the left foot, shown clearly in the photographs. This is not visually intrusive when the clock is displayed.
The dial shows some age-related discolouration and spotting, particularly around the lower edge, but remains clear and highly attractive. The chrome bezel is bright with minor age-related wear. Please study all photographs, as they form an important part of the description.

Delivery
The clock will be carefully packed for transit, with the movement appropriately secured. A suitable winding key will be included.
As with all vintage mechanical clocks, minor adjustment may occasionally be required after transportation and when positioned in a new home.
