This listing is for a mechanical service of a time-only clock movement, carried out using a complete strip-down and traditional hand cleaning of all components, including the mainspring.
All work is performed manually using clock-cleaning solvents.
No ultrasonic cleaning is used.
Suitable for spring-driven mantel, bracket, and wall clocks.
Quartz or battery movements are not serviced.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
• Full dismantling of the movement
• Removal of the mainspring from its barrel
• Hand cleaning of plates, wheels, pinions, and components in clock-cleaning solvent
• Cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of the mainspring before refitting
• Inspection of pivots and bearing surfaces
• Reassembly with correct clock oils applied sparingly
• Beat setting and regulation
• Bench testing to confirm stable, reliable running
This is the same level of mechanical service used on my seller-refurbished antique clocks listed on eBay.

OPTIONAL CASE RESTORATION (ADDITIONAL COST)
Sympathetic case restoration can be provided by separate quotation if requested.
This may include careful cleaning of the case, revival of the original finish (wax or polish depending on case), and gentle cleaning of bezels and fittings.
All case work is conservation-led, respecting age and originality.

WARRANTY / AFTERCARE
All serviced movements are tested before return.
If the clock stops due to a service-related issue within 30 days, it will be re-inspected and corrected at no labour cost.
This does not cover pre-existing wear, damage, mishandling, or transport-related issues.
