Antique French Five-Glass Carriage Clock
An Unusual Architectural Carriage Clock
This antique French carriage clock is presented in a brass five-glass case with an unusual architectural profile, featuring moulded, fluted corner columns and a shaped carrying handle. Bevelled glass panels on every face give a clear view of the movement, including the platform escapement visible through the top.
The clean white dial carries black Roman numerals and traditional blued steel hands. The movement itself is stamped "MADE IN FRANCE", confirming genuine French manufacture.
It's had the full Mahn & Co treatment and is ready to go straight onto a mantelpiece, desk or bedside table.
Fully Serviced & Running Beautifully
The movement has been fully stripped, cleaned, inspected, and lubricated using Novostar oil on the mainspring and synthetic clock oil on the pivots, then tested. It is currently running well and keeping good time. The platform escapement is visible through the glazed top panel.

Honest Assessment — This One Presents Well
Case: The brass case has been sympathetically cleaned and polished, retaining an attractive mellow antique finish rather than being over-polished. The bevelled glass panels present well, with light age-related marks consistent with an antique clock.
Dial: Clean and legible, with crisp Roman numerals and the original blued steel hands.
Movement: Fully serviced by Mahn & Co. Running well and keeping good time. Ready to use immediately on arrival. As with any antique mechanical clock, minor adjustment after delivery and setup on a level surface is normal.
