He’s been fully stripped, cleaned and serviced, so beneath the vintage exterior his twin-train movement is back to running properly and sounding the hours on its traditional gong. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe wonderfully period dial features elegant Art Deco-style Arabic numerals, blued steel hands and the Enfield name beneath 12 o'clock. The warm cream colouring and gentle age-related marks give it plenty of authentic vintage character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eMovement and operation\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside is Enfield's traditional twin-train mechanical movement, striking the hours and half-hours on a coiled gong. The movement has been fully dismantled, ultrasonically cleaned, carefully inspected, lubricated with Novostar oil on the mainsprings and synthetic clock oil on the pivots, and correctly reassembled.
